Carlotta Bertelli is an Italian fine-art, portrait and documentary photographer.
Born in Modena in 1988, she moved to Milan at twenty to pursue formal studies in photography and subsequently began her professional career within the fashion industry. Her work, which has been published in both mainstream and independent outlets, reflects an international trajectory that includes periods spent in Milan, Paris, New York and São Paulo. Bertelli’s photographic practice is characterized by a sustained engagement with analog processes and darkroom printing, producing a visual language that articulates the intersection between documentary realism and poetic abstraction. In parallel to commissioned assignments for luxury and artisanal clients, she maintains a personal archive rooted in an attentive observation of human presence and the natural environment.
She currently lives and works in the Tuscan countryside.
